South Korean artist Lee Areum was rushed to hospital after trying to end her life.

According to Ocean, the former member of T-ara attempted suicide on the morning of March 27 and is currently hospitalized but has not yet woken up.

Lee Arum’s husband:

In 2019, the 29-year-old former idol married an older businessman and gave birth to two children.

She announced her separation from her estranged husband in December 2023 through a post in which Areum also revealed her plans to tie the knot with her current boyfriend.

Most recently, the K-pop star opened up about the alleged abuse by her estranged husband in an Instagram post last week.

In addition to a long note accusing him of physically abusing her and the children, Arem also uploaded photos of the cuts and bruises she suffered during the alleged attack.

“Then the clothes I was wearing were torn and I was covered in bruises. [my] “My body and nose bones are crooked,” she wrote, detailing an incident in 2021.

Her boyfriend posted an update on Areum’s condition on his Instagram Stories and asked for prayers.

According to Koreaboo, it read: “Thank you to Areum’s fans and those in contact with her for their concerns and encouragement.”

“Please do not make any unnecessary or bizarre contact requests [to me]. Please keep it appropriate. A person is in pain and unconscious…please…don’t do this, I’m begging you. I pray that Areem will be okay,” the boyfriend, who asked not to be named, added.
