Israeli Embassy in India says YouTuber Shubham Kumar is exploring Israel

New Delhi:

The Israeli embassy on Tuesday hit back at hate speech against Indians and urged people to fact-check before believing any fake news and propaganda, amid rising incidents of hate speech in the wake of conflict in the Gaza Strip and tensions between Iran and Israel.

The Israeli Embassy in India has termed a viral video of an Indian YouTuber being denied entry to an Israeli bar as “fake news” and “propaganda”, urging people to fact-check and stressing that Israel loves its Indian brothers and sisters and will not listen to hate speech.

YouTuber Shubham Kumar is exploring Israel and enjoying the nightlife, the Israeli Embassy in India said on social media X on Tuesday.

“In an age where social media is awash with fake news, we urge people to fact-check. YouTuber Shubham Kumar is exploring Israel and enjoying the nightlife, as seen in the videos he uploaded. Some bars are full or have reserved space,” the embassy said in a statement Statement on X.

In the post, the embassy stressed that “slice videos” of fake news had been circulated.

“While fake news and propaganda-slicing videos are circulating, we want to emphasize a few points: Israelis, like Indians, come in all different skin tones. The video clearly shows people of all skin tones enjoying beers in a bar. We love our Indian brothers and sisters and we will not listen to hate speeches spread maliciously,” they added.

YouTuber Shubham Kumar is a travel blogger with over 2 million subscribers on YouTube who has visited Israel and Gaza and posted videos of him exploring the country and enjoying the nightlife.

Shubham also clarified in the video that the clubs and bars were completely packed. “I couldn’t even find a seat,” Shubham said.

Shubham never said he was denied entry to an Israeli club just because he was Indian. In fact, before going to any nightclub, Shubham clarified that today was Thursday night and everyone would party here on this day.
