In a statement to improve transparency in the servicing of their vehicles across the country, Kia India on Friday announced the launch of its Kia Crystal programme, under which customers can avail live consulting and video streaming features when their vehicles are taken for servicing. Available through the official Kia India app – My Kia – the Kia Crystal program seeks to give customers access to key vehicle-related information such as nature of work, cost and answers to questions.
The real-time consultation facility is now available at 237 Kia dealerships while the live streaming service for vehicles is currently available at 25 dealers. The company informed in a press statement that it is looking to roll out the live streaming feature to as many as 60 dealerships by the end of 2024.

According to company officials, the need for something like the Kia Crystal arose from internal research that showed many customers prefer ‘pick and drop’ features when they want their vehicles serviced. Some people also send their vehicles through their drivers. As such, their need to monitor progress on work being undertaken becomes critical. “Through Kia Crystal, we aim to build greater trust by facilitating greater transparency to position ourselves as a customer-centric brand,” said Hardeep Singh Brar, National Head – Sales & Marketing, Kia India. “Going forward, Kia India will expand. The Kia Crystal range is limited to include a new process for welcome calls, aimed at onboarding new customers after the sale and keeping them informed about ownership programs and offers.”
Kia made its India debut in 2019 with the Seltos SUV and currently also offers models like the Sonet, Karens, Carnival and EV6.
