Whale dies after a collision with a small boat from New Jersey noise

Barnegat Township, NJ (AP) – A Mink Whale died from the edge of New Jersey after a collision, which was almost trapped over a small boat and threw an overboard to a person.

On Saturday afternoon, the social media video of a confrontation in Barnegate Bay shows motor boat rocking and sprinkled near the craft before the 20-foot (6-meter) whale swimming. The person throwing an overboard manages to run the water next to the boat.

The whale was found dead after resting on a sandbar in shallow water. Sea officials were not able to get closer to the whale due to sea breast conditions, according to the sea mammal stranding center, a not-for-profit rescue, rehabilitation and release organizations.

“At this point, we have not really much,” the coordinator at the center, J Pagel said on Sunday. “The animal we were able to see had no clear mark on what we could see. But then, our visibility was very limited.”

Pagel said that there were reports that the whale suffered injuries before the video captured on the video. He said that a second video was posted online which shows the contact of making whales with a pontoon boat after the initial collision.

The animal will be taken to a state park in a state park on Monday morning for a necropsy to determine the cause of death.
