New Delhi, October 5 (IANS) Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said on Sunday that the government is fully committed to support the Prajapati (potter) community in the city to promote the sale of its products and make them self -reliant.
Speaking at the Prajapati (Kumhar) Mahakumba organized by the National Prajapati Mahasangh at the Adarsh Ramlila Ground in Narela, Outer Delhi, the Chief Minister assured that his government would continue to work for the welfare, education, skill development and empowerment of the Prajapati community.
Confirming his commitment to pursue the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘Swadeshi’ and ‘Vocal for Local’, CM Rekha Gupta said that the Delhi government is taking concrete steps to promote the local handicraft products and to make the artisans self -sufficient.
He praised the artistry, hard work and creativity of the Prajapati (Kumhar) community, saying that his traditional skills and dedication are really inspiring.
He said that the government is fully committed to support the community in every possible way.
Parliament member Chandolia, MLA Rajkaran Khatri, many dignitaries, social organizations and local residents of the Prajapati community participated in the event.
Talking to community representatives and artisans, the Chief Minister appreciated his craftsmanship and hardworking spirit, called his work a true source of inspiration.
He reiterated that his government is firm to provide every possible form of assistance and assistance.
The Chief Minister said that the Delhi government will take concrete measures to protect the interests of the Prajapati community and continue its efforts for their welfare, education, skill development and empowerment.
He said that such an initiative will not only improve the economic conditions of the community, but will also give new recognition to indigenous industries.
CM Gupta said that traditional craftsmanship is not only a means of livelihood, but a reflection of India’s rich cultural heritage, and it is the responsibility of the government to preserve and strengthen it.
Praising the Prajapati community, he said that he is a true creator who shapes gods, utensils and beauty from soil, connecting society through his labor and artistry. He also said that over the years, the community has not received recognition and opportunities, which are really entitled, but now the Delhi government will take strong and meaningful steps for their upliftment and empowerment.
