“We have declared 2025 as Gaganan year”: ISRO chief V Narayanan

V Narayanan, head of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO), highlighted the importance of 2025, which has been declared a “Gaganan” year.

ISRO chief said that 7200 tests have been completed so far, and 3000 tests are pending.
The Gaganan program approved in December 2018 envisages the human spacecraft for the class of Earth (Leo) and establishes the necessary technologies for a long -term Indian human space exploration effort.

V Narayanan was speaking at an event in Kolkata on Thursday.

“This year is a very important year for us. We have declared it a Gaganian year. Before sending humans, we have planned three unheard of missions and this year has been planned for the unSold mission … To date, more than 7200 tests have been completed and about 3000 tests are pending, work is running on 24 hours,” V Narayanan said.

V Narayanan expressed his happiness over the completion of the Spadex Mission. He said that Iso “calculated ten kg of fuel to do this mission.”

According to ISRO’s official website, the SPADEX mission is a cost-effective technology performance mission that uses two small spacecraft launched by PSLV to display IN-Space Docking.

The ISRO chief said that by December 2025, the first Unseed Mission is called “Wayamitra”, followed by two unkred missions, ISRO. In contrast, the organization targets the first human space flight by the first quarter of 2027.
