“We expected some action against terrorism by Pakistan …”

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP and Senior Advocate Manan Kumar Mishra, who is a part of the multi-party delegation led by Srikanth Shinde, said that India launched Operation Sindoor after Pakistan, when Pakistan failed to take action against terrorists on its soil.

“After the Pahalgam incident on 22 April, India waited for 15 days. We expected some action against the terrorists by Pakistan. But you will be surprised to know that instead of taking action against terrorists, our intelligence was preparing for similar terrorist activities in India. 7

Operation Sindoor was launched on 7 May by Pak-proposed militants as a decisive military response to the Pahgam terror attack on 22 April, killing 26 people brutally. The Indian armed forces targeted the terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, ending more than 100 militants associated with groups, including Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Tabiba and Hizbul Mujahideen.

The Indian parliamentary delegation led by Shinde is visiting major African countries to strengthen strategic and diplomatic relations of India and to create a global consent against terrorism.

The Multiparty Delegation LED by Shrikant Shinde Comprises Bansuri Swaraj, Et Mohammed Basheer, Attul Garg, Sasmit Patra, Manan Kumar Mishra, SS Ahluwalia and Sujan Chinoy.

Earlier, the all-party delegation led by Shiv Sena MP Srikanth Shinde visited the Senate and the National Assembly of Congo on Monday, where he interacted with several leaders of the country.

The all-party delegation met with Jean-Pierre Bamba Gombbo, Deputy Prime Minister and Transport Minister, Democratic Republic of Congo.

The all-party delegation also met with Jean-Michel Sama Lukonde, president of the Rebu Senate Senate. Additionally, the delegation met the President of the National Assembly, Vaital Kamarhe Lava Kanagini Necking.

Shiv Sena MP Srikanth Shinde on Monday took a firm stand against Pakistan-posed terrorism in the Republic of Congo, stating that business and terrorism cannot do co-existence, nor can terrorism and dialogue go into hand.

Earlier in the day, the all-party delegation met with the congregation ministers and expressed the objectives of Operation Sindoor and India’s strong trend against terrorism.

Shinde said, “Today, our all-party delegation met the Foreign Minister of the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Foreign Minister of Theresi Kayikwamba Wagner. In this meeting, in this meeting, we presented India’s efforts and stood in the fight against terrorism. We also expressed our message of zero tolerance towards terrorism.

The meeting confirmed India’s anti -terrorism status, and the Democratic Republic of Congo government gave full support to India in its fight against terrorism. “(AI)
