During the visit, Foreign Minister Kuleba will conduct a number of activities, including holding formal meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Deputy Director of the National Security Agency to discuss bilateral partnerships and cooperation on regional and global issues of mutual interest. Kuleba is also expected to interact with the business community, a Ministry of Foreign Affairs press release said.

The visit comes days after Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a phone conversation with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

During their talks on March 20, the two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen India-Ukraine partnership in various fields.

President Zelensky appreciated India’s continued humanitarian assistance to the people of Ukraine. Prime Minister Modi also had a phone call with Russian President Vladimir Putin on March 20 to congratulate him on his re-election.

While discussing the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, Prime Minister Modi reiterated India’s consistent position of supporting dialogue and diplomatic solutions to the problem.
