Jal Shakti Department has issued a promotion order as assistant engineers for 23 junior engineers, 2025 dated July 7, 2025 Government Order No. 167-JK (JSD).
Promotion orders were issued by Additional Chief Secretary, Jal Shakti, Shalen Kabra. The move is expected to increase human resources capacity in addition to improving water supply management in Jammu and Kashmir.
Jal Shakti Minister, Javed Ahmed Rana has congratulated the high engineers, expressing that his promotion will motivate him to contribute to the mission of the department.
Rana has instructed the officials to immediately refer to the recruitment agency for fast-track recruitment, which make sure to fill important positions on time.
The Department of Water Power is actively working to strengthen its human resource capacity, filling hundreds of publicity vacancies at various levels, from assistant engineers to chief engineers.
The minister has emphasized the importance of installing a strong performance monitoring mechanism at each level to ensure optimal and efficient performance by the officials.
