A Uttar Pradesh policeman, who was recently shifted, received a grand farewell from the local people of Dagariya district. Vinod Kumar Singh, in -charge of Madanpur police station, was transferred after the end of a six -month term. Subsequently, a large group of locals carried out a farewell procession with drums and trumpets to honor the police.
Video of the ceremony went viral on social media.
One of the video honored Mr. Singh by garlanding the local people. In the other, a group of people set up a procession on the streets sitting on horses and musical instruments dressed in clothes. Some were also seen wearing a turban, one of which later put on Mr. Singh’s head.
During the farewell of the police officer, many residents were also emotional.
Mr. Singh became very popular in Madanpur region due to his working style. A few days ago, he paraded all history sheets at the police station, which created fear among the criminals. A video of the incident also went viral on social media.
Officials said that Mr. Singh had helped some women get married in the area – there was a case when the kidney of a woman’s father had failed, the police officer helped to marry with the help of the local people.
