The Princess of Wales has announced she has been diagnosed with cancer.
In a video statement released on Friday, March 22, Kate confirmed that tests following abdominal surgery in January revealed that the cancer was already present and that her medical team recommended that she undergo a series of preventive chemotherapy treatments.
“This is of course a huge shock and William and I have been doing everything we can to deal with and manage this matter privately for the sake of our young family,” the princess said.
Kate added that she was “getting stronger every day” and that having the Prince of Wales by her side was a “great source of comfort and reassurance”.
