Patna, Nov 11 (IANS) With 60.40 per cent voting taking place till 3 pm in the second and final phase of Bihar Assembly elections 2025, all major political parties are on high alert and closely monitoring the developments from their respective election war rooms. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Tuesday visited the Janata Dal (United) headquarters in Patna to review the situation and directed party officials to keep a close eye on every development from the ground. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has also set up an extensive monitoring network to get real-time feedback from its booth-level agents across the state. Bihar BJP election cell convenor Radhika Raman told IANS, “We have appointed more than 92,000 booth-level agents in Bihar, who have been active in both phases of polling. The BJP has the highest number of booth-level agents, with about one agent per polling station.” “Our agents are not only working for the BJP but also helping the alliance partners – JD(U), LJP(RV), HAM and RLM on the ground. They have been tasked with tracking voter turnout trends and sending timely updates to the state election cell,” Raman said. Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has also set up a centralized election war room at its Patna headquarters. According to party officials, RJD’s 47,000 booth-level agents are in constant touch with local representatives and are monitoring the developments at polling stations throughout the day. RJD has filed the maximum number of complaints before the Election Commission of India (ECI). The party has highlighted the incident of celebration of Samastipur and Siwan when VVPAT slips were found unclaimed on the roads. These booth level agents have played an important role in identifying irregularities and passing them along with evidence to the headquarters. Both the alliances – NDA and Grand Alliance – are maintaining close coordination and real-time communication networks to assess voting trends as voting continues in 20 districts of Bihar. –IANS AKJ/DAN
