New Delhi, Nov 4 (IANS) Vice President CP Radhakrishnan will begin his two-day visit to Chhattisgarh on Tuesday to attend the Silver Mahotsav celebrations marking the 25th anniversary of the state’s formation. An officer gave this information.

During the visit, the Vice President will participate in several public programs in Nava Raipur and Rajnandgaon.

The Vice President is scheduled to reach Raipur after concluding his visit to Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

On Wednesday, VP Radhakrishnan will be given a guard of honor at Raj Bhavan in Raipur. After this he will watch the air show of Indian Air Force’s Suryakiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) at Sendh Lake in Nava Raipur.

The Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team, formed in 1996, is renowned for its precision flying and spectacular aerial performance.

The Vice President will also inaugurate the Udayachal Multi-Specialty Eye Care Institute in Rajnandgaon on November 5, 2025.

Later, Radhakrishnan will attend the Lakhpati Didi Sammelan in Rajnandgaon as the Chief Guest.

He will conclude his visit by attending the closing ceremony of Chhattisgarh Silver Mahotsav as the chief guest in Nava Raipur on Wednesday evening.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Vice President addressed a gathering in Thiruvananthapuram, during which he lauded the Sree Chitra Thirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) for its pioneering work in affordable health care innovations and medical device development.

Radhakrishnan said the institute’s success story demonstrates the transformative potential of public research institutions when combined with innovation and social commitment.

The Vice President pointed out that nearly two lakh patients have undergone heart valve surgeries at the institute, an achievement that underlines its excellence in heart care.
