Srinagar, May 20: Justice Arun Palli, Chief Justice, High Court of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Justice Justice Sanjeev Kumar, along with the administrative judge of District Srinagar, paid the visit to Srinagar today. The visit marked an important step towards strengthening the judiciary at the grassroots level and strengthening the High Court’s commitment to ensure accessible and efficient justice distribution.
On arrival in the premises of the District Court, Srinagar, Chief Justice was received warmly by the Chief District and Sessions Judge, Srinagar and other judicial officials.
The Chief Justice was accompanied by Mohandar Kumar Sharma, Registrar General (Officers) and Rajiv Gupta, Registrar Vigilance, Jammu and Kashmir’s High Court, who joined the Chief Justice in inspecting facilities and administrative arrangements in the court premises.
Justice Palli inspected the facilities of the court and interacted with the members of the district judiciary, appreciating his efforts in maintaining the rule of law and ensuring timely distribution.
During the visit, the Chief Justice reviewed the infrastructure and administrative functioning of the courts. He emphasized the importance of creating litigation -friendly environment, use of technology in judicial proceedings and the need for early disposal of cases.
Addressing judicial officials, the Chief Justice underlined the important role of the District Judiciary as the first interface between the judiciary and the public. He reiterated the importance of integrity, sensitivity and efficiency in maintaining public belief in the judiciary.
As part of the yatra, the Chief Justice also participated in a plantation campaign organized within the court complex, symbolizing environmental stability and a commitment to the Green Judicial infrastructure.
Each was deployed by Chief Justice and Justice Sanjeev Kumar, Administrative Judge of District Srinagar, in the premises of the District Court premises, several judicial officers and employees present with several judicial officers and employees to mark the opportunity.
The yatra took place with the vote of votes cast by the Principal District and Sessions Judge, who thanked the guidance and encouragement of the Chief Justice.
