Indian cricket team great batsman Virender Sehwag praised spinner Kuldeep Yadav and called him “one of the most under-hyped guys” at the moment. Kuldeep was exceptional on the third day of the fourth Test against England in Ranchi as he formed a vital partnership with Dhruv Jurel and then produced impressive figures of 4/22 with the ball. Sehwag said on social media that Kuldeep is a cricketer who never had a big online fan club or people promoting him as the next big thing, but he is much appreciated for his impressive performances for the Indian cricket team. Deserves credit.

“When it comes to promotions, one of the least publicized is Kuldeep Yadav. remained a standout for many years, but never got an online fan club or people to promote it as the next big thing. He deserves much more credit and publicity than he got.

Meanwhile, Ravichandran Ashwin praised spinner Kuldeep Yadav and young wicketkeeper-batsman Dhruv Jurel for their defense and composure for their match-saving partnership.

With the help of spinner Ravichandran Ashwin’s five wickets, India bowled out England for just 145 runs in the second innings on the third day of the fourth Test and achieved the target of 192 runs to win the series.

Earlier, after India was reduced to 219/7, Jurel and Kuldeep made a useful partnership of 76 runs for the eighth wicket, which reduced England’s lead to just 46 runs after India was bundled out for 307 runs.

Speaking after the match, Ashwin said that although it was tough for Kuldeep to send him in to bat, he displayed a lot of “grit” and good defence, which kept the dressing room calm. He also praised Jurel, playing his second Test, for trusting his gameplan.

“It was tough for him (Kuldeep) yesterday, we sent him in to bat a little earlier than he expected. I thought his defense was good, he showed a lot of patience and composure, kept the dressing room calm and that’s what I thought Jurel Was even better, for someone who was playing just his second Test match, he showed great composure, trusted his defence, made a great gameplan, didn’t mess up, picked the right bowlers to hit and yes, It gave us a great boost. We batted almost till lunch, even if we had given up 70-80 runs, last night when we went back to the hotel we thought we will take it with both hands,” Ashwin said.
