Indian cricket talisman, Virat Kohli and his actress wife Anushka Sharma announced the birth of their baby boy Akay in a post on social media on Tuesday. While rumors of Anushka’s pregnancy were confirmed by former South African cricketer AB de Villiers in a social media post, Kohli himself had revealed that Akay came into this world on February 15. While the birth of Virat and Anushka’s son was celebrated across India, echoes of the celebrations were also heard. In Pakistan, where the cricketer’s fans celebrated this news by distributing sweets.

Fans not only congratulated Virat on the birth of his child but also supported Akay to break his father’s cricket record on the field.

It is fair to say that fans in Pakistan want Virat’s son Akay to follow his father’s footsteps one day, just like Arjun Tendulkar has one day followed his father Sachin Tendulkar.

Kohli and Anushka are already parents to three-year-old daughter Vamika.

We request you to respect our privacy at this time.” Kohli had initially opted out of the first two Tests of the ongoing five-match series against England citing personal reasons. Later he also withdrew his name from the last three test matches.

He was last seen in the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town in January, which India won by seven wickets. He scored 46 and 12 runs in two innings.

India is leading 2-1 in the five-match Test series against England.
