New Delhi, 7 October (IANS) marked 25 -year -old public service as Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the head of a government, BJP leaders across the country appreciated him for his “immense contribution” and “unprecedented heights” have been achieved by India under his leadership.

Marking the occasion on the first day, PM Modi thanked the citizens for his “continuous trust and affection”, who promises to work with more determination to fulfill the vision of ‘Vikti Bharat’. On 7 October 2001, Narendra Modi was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat for the first time. Now, in his third consecutive term as Prime Minister, he enters the 25th year of uninterrupted service as the head of the public office.

Talking to IANS, Union Minister of State for Defense Sanjay Seth said, “This is a very auspicious and important day for Indian democracy. On this day, on October 7, 2001, a person entered Indian politics in a transformative way, someone who changed the destiny and image of Gujarat, who was a man.

He said that Prime Minister Modi follows “ideology of development”.

He said, “In these 11 years, the country has achieved unprecedented heights. The global state of the nation has improved. The Modi government has once done unimaginable things – from the construction of the Ram temple to the development of rural India – everything was done under the leadership of PM Modi,” he said.

BJP national spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari called it a “historic day”, “For 25 years, without any break, he has worked with dedication, working selflessly for people, from Gujarat to the whole nation. First, he made Vikasit Gujarat and now, he is making Vikit India.”

“In just 11 years, PM Modi made India the fourth largest economy. Millions of people have come out of poverty, and inflation has been reduced. It proves that PM Modi understands the plight of the poor. No other leader in the world can do this-Kaval can do this-Kaval can do a global politician like PM Modi,” he said.

Bihar Vice President Vijay Kumar Sinha told PM Modi as a “son of Maa Bharati” and said, “The way the Prime Minister has taken people forward – from Gujarat to the center – and the way the country has moved forward in every region, everyone in the nation is proud.”

Speaking to IANS, Chhattisgarh Vice President Vijay Sharma said, “Today is a very special day – when he was first sworn in as the Chief Minister of Gujarat. In all these tenure, he continuously served the nation and inspired everyone to work for the country. I pray for his long life.”

Shiv Sena national spokesperson Shina Nekan praised PM Modi’s rule, called it “extraordinary”.

Speaking to IANS, he said, “PM Modi’s term in Gujarat and Center has proved that his mantra is ‘politics of performance’.”
