Vikrant Massey is currently basking in the success of his recently released film 12th Fail. The actor received an overwhelming response from everyone. From the audience to the stars, everyone was in awe of his performance. The actor, who started his acting career with the TV show “Balika Vadhu”, in a recent interview revealed the reason behind his departure from the show.

In an interview with Samdish on his YouTube channel Unfiltered by Samdish, Vikrant Massey recalled some strange things that happened on the set of the TV show. He shared: “There are a lot of these things that keep happening over and over again, which is why I left television. Generally speaking, everyone is doing the same thing. No matter the field, when something works, Only its version will be reproduced. So when misogynistic content comes on television, including ‘bahu pe atyavchaar’, there are some people who accept it, so people make these content specifically for TRPs.”

He explained: “In television, a lot of annoying things happen, like MBAs dictating stories. They’ll say, ‘Based on our internal research, only make these types of episodes for ratings. They say this is “In-house research” and asking to watch a one-hour episode of “Maha” really fooled a lot of people. After a while I got into an argument with them and said I wasn’t going to do it.”

Apart from this, Vikrant Massey further stated that he felt “underutilized” as a television actor, “I thought I could do more, but they couldn’t use me. I was in Pakistan Likavadu’s contract was only for two months and was just a cameo. But people liked it so much that it lasted for two years. I did it for so long because I believed in the content of what I was doing. But after that, maza nahi aaya kuch Showed it to me,” he concluded.

Vikrant Massey will now star in an untitled web series produced by Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba and Rajkumar Hirani. On the personal front, after two years of happy marriage, Vikrant Massey and Sheetal Thakur have become doting parents to their son. On February 7 this year, they welcomed their first child.

The couple met on the sets of ALT Balaji’s web show Broken But Beautiful and started dating soon after. They got engaged in a private ceremony in November 2019. The two tied the knot in February last year.
