Video: Violent clashes erupt between pro-Israel and pro-Palestine protesters in LA

Violent clashes have erupted on the University of California campus in Los Angeles as counter-demonstrators attacked a pro-Palestinian protest encampment.

Footage showed individuals wielding sticks or poles, assaulting makeshift barricades set up to protect pro-Palestinian demonstrators, some of whom held placards or umbrellas. At least one firework was thrown into the camp.

University administrators called in law enforcement officers to contain the violence, marking the most severe incident since supporters of Israel established a rival protest area near the pro-Palestinian encampment.
