Lucknow:
A Congress leader has been arrested for entering the office of a construction company near Kanpur and brandishing a revolver to threaten the employees. This action has been captured in the CCTV camera.
The footage shows Congress leader Ambuj Shukla – who had unsuccessfully contested the assembly elections from Kanpur Govindnagar seat on a party ticket in 2017 – entering the office along with at least three of his colleagues. He is seen holding a revolver beside him and then pointing it at the employees while waving his hands in a threatening gesture.
Shukla moves towards the door and then turns back and points the revolver at the employee. This office located in Kalyanpur belonged to a company named Atharva Construction Private Limited.
“A complaint was lodged by an employee of the company. We examined the CCTV footage and observed that Ambuj Shukla and his associates were threatening the employees using their licensed revolvers. Shukla and his associates have been taken into custody and The revolver has been confiscated.” Assistant Police Commissioner Abhishek Kumar Pandey.
