If his fiery speeches brought the crowd to the meeting, it was Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s ‘dance’ skills that really brought the public to their feet.

At the end of his rallies, whether in Shiv Sagar or Mariani, the CM sang and danced while urging the public to join in, who readily obliged and joined their leaders in the stands.

In his speech, Mr. Sarma outlined various welfare measures of the BJP-led central and state governments and urged the public to vote for Prime Minister Narendra Modi for a third consecutive term.

Sharing a lively video of his campaign dance on X on Friday, with members of the public joining him in the stands, he wrote: “We are #ModiKaParivaar. The BJP has nine MPs in the outgoing Assam Lok Sabha, its best showing in the state so far, and Mr Sarma is confident of winning at least 13 seats this time.

The BJP is contesting from 11 seats, two of which are reserved for its ally Asom Gana Parishad and one for the United People’s Party Liberal Party.
