Video: Explosions and panic as Iran launches airstrikes on Israel

By | Published | No Comments

Sirens and loud explosions rang across Israel as Iran launched more than 200 drones and missiles in retaliation for an April 1 airstrike on its consulate in Damascus that killed two commanders, including Seven Revolutionary Guards personnel and six Syrian civilians died.

The IDF said it intercepted the “vast majority” of missiles and drones, while southern Israel recorded some “small strikes” causing minor damage to infrastructure.

U.S. military officials say the United States has shot down a number of Iranian drones. The UK also said its Royal Air Force (RAF) jets in the region would “intercept any air attacks within their existing missions”.

Meanwhile, US President Joe Biden said Washington would “do whatever it takes to protect Israel’s security” after being briefed by his security adviser. He also said that Israel’s commitment to Israel’s security and defense against the Iranian threat “is ironclad.”
