President Draupadi Murmu expressed his heartfelt condolences to grieving families on Thursday, as Claudbers on a large scale triggered a flash flood in the Chashodi area of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir.
Large -scale Claudbers today killed Chishoti village in Kishtwar district, causing flash floods and widespread damage, many people were expected to disappear.
In a post on X, President Murmu said, “The news of many deaths due to a cloudburst in Jammu and Kashmir, installment is extremely sad. I express my heartfelt condolences to grieved families and pray for the success of relief and rescue campaigns.”

Leader of Opposition in Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly and BJP MLA Sunil Sharma said that the rescue agencies recovered 32 bodies after the Flash Flood incident in Chisoti village in Kishtar district of JK.
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assured full central assistance to all the people affected after a large -scale Claudbers triggered a flash flood in the Chashhati area of Kishtwar district in Jammu and Kashmir.
In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi said that the situation is being closely monitored and rescue operations are going on.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah also spoke to Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and a cloudbers assured full central assistance after triggering a flash flood in Kishtwar district.
Shah said that the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams have already been taken to the site.

NDRF teams have been taken to the site immediately. We are closely monitoring the situation and are standing firm with the people of Jammu and Kashmir through every situation.

Local administration teams are on the ground, emptying the residents, providing medical aid, and working to restore the general situation in the affected areas. Officials are assessing the loss and giving priority to the safety of people in weak areas.
According to Pankaj Sharma, Deputy Commissioner of the installment, the rescue operation is still going on.
Meanwhile, two NDRF teams, which include around 180 personnel, have been taken to the site after being hit by a large -scale cloudburst in the region.
NDRF teams equipped with advanced search-and-rescue gear were taken from Udampur base of the force following the instructions of the Ministry of Home Affairs. They are in close coordination with local administration and state disaster management teams so that they can vacate trapped residents, provide medical support and ensure the supply of necessary relief materials.
In a post on X, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah described the situation in the ties area of the installment as “serious”.
