Kupwara, August 05: A part of the national campaign for ‘Well for Local for Local’, The Vikalong ‘Akankasha Haat’, today concluded with great enthusiasm and public participation in Kupwara.
The event, which was intended to promote local artisans, self-help groups (SHGs) and entrepreneurs, was held in Sumo Stand, Rejipora, Kupwara.
On the closing day, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Ayushi Sudan, with CPO Kupwara, paid the visit to Haat and interacted with the participants.
DC appreciated the efforts of local artisans and SHGs in showing its unique products and crafts. He emphasized the importance of such platforms in empowering local communities and promoting indigenous talent in accordance with the vision of self -sufficient India.
‘Aakanksha Haat’ saw a lively stalls characterized by handicrafts, handloom, organic products and traditional foods from the district of the district. The initiative provided local producers an important opportunity to connect directly with consumers and get visibility for their products.
The district administration thanked all the stakeholders, participants and visitors for their support in making the campaign a success.
