“Vamika’s younger brother”: Virat Kohli, Anushka Sharma post on welcoming baby boy Akay cricket news

Indian cricket team’s star batsman Virat Kohli and Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma announced the birth of their second child on Tuesday. In a message posted by both the celebrities on social media, they revealed that the couple was blessed with a baby boy on February 15 and they have named him Akay. The couple already has a daughter, Vamika, and the sweet message also mentioned her. Earlier, Kohli had decided to withdraw from the ongoing Test series against England citing ‘personal reasons’.

“With great joy and hearts full of love, we are all happy to share that on February 15, we welcomed our baby boy Akay and Vamika’s little brother into this world! Virat and Anushka,” the picture posted on the Instagram accounts of both Virat and Anushka read.

As soon as the couple announced the good news, fans and members of the film industry and cricket world flooded the comments section with wishes.

Virat and Anushka were married on 11 December 2017 in Italy. The couple was blessed by Vamika on January 11, 2021. The couple remained tight-lipped about their second pregnancy.

However, recently former South Africa captain AB de Villiers revealed on his official YouTube channel that Kohli and Anushka were expecting their second child.

The former Proteas captain apologized to Kohli, saying he had made a “mistake” in his previous video.

“My friend Virat Kohli is still not available. I request everyone to give him the privacy he deserves. Family comes first. No one knows what is really going on.
