One of the most romantic days of the year, Valentine’s Day, is here! It is the time when love is in the air, and people are expressing their love for the special people in their lives. Celebrated on February 14th each year, Valentine’s Day is a day to express your love and gratitude to your loved ones. It is a day dedicated to love, romance, and deep emotional connections– not just between loevrs and couples, but also close family and friends. Originating from ancient Roman and Christian traditions, the holiday has evolved into a global celebration where couples express their affection through thoughtful gestures, gifts, and quality time together.
Interestingly, Valentine’s Day is named after Saint Valentine, who used to help couples get married against Emperor Claudius II’s ban on marriages for young soldiers. Saint Valentine believed in the power of love and so he used to secretly conducted weddings and unit couples in love. But he was eventually caught and imprisoned; later he was executed on February 14, roughly in 270 AD. And so, in his memory this day is celebrated as Valentine’s Day.
