Vaiko Karur rally blames TVK organizers for the tragedy, urges better crowds safety

Channai, September 30 (YS) Vaiko, General Secretary of the Marumalarch Dravid Munnetra Kazgam (MDMK), described the death of 41 people, including many children, in the history of Tamiliyama Veteris Anged Anged “TVK) on Tuesday and held the incident responsible.

Addressing reporters in Chennai, Vaiko said that Karur’s meeting was “poorly planned” and “Laps” in crowd control celebrated a celebration in disaster.

“The organizers failed to plan the rally properly, which led to the situation excluded from control,” he said.

According to him, on September 27, the crush of people eager to see him in both Namakkal and Karur’s late came to see him was spoiled.

He said, “Mr. Vijay had reached Namakkal for a long time and was also far behind to enter Karur district,” he said.

Vaiko also accused TVK officials of trying to save anger by convicting the state administration.

“The government worked fast. The Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues visited Karur within hours and extended all support. Yet some TV members are making baseless allegations against the DMK government. Fearing that the anger of the people would change against the organizers, they attempted to turn it to the government. It is strongly condemned.”

Drawing a lesson from history, Vaiko recalled how former Chief Minister MG Ramachandran (MGR) managed the crowd during his DMK campaign.

The MDMK leader said, “MGR will rise from his vehicle before entering the venue, supporters with the road will show the party’s symbol and wave. Similarly, Mr. Vijay should have estimated such a big gathering and worked accordingly.”

He insisted that all political parties should develop trained volunteer teams for mob management to prevent tragedies in public meetings.

Vaiko said that he was unable to visit Karur for health reasons, but expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families.

Appealing to the public, Vaiko urged to take precautions when he participated in big ceremonies.

“People should also take personal care while joining the crowd on a large scale,” he said, “he said, there was a common responsibility among the organizers, administration and attendees to prevent such accidents.

On September 27, Karur Stamped has motivated the Tamil Nadu government to form a member inquiry commission under retired Judge Aruna Jagadisin to investigate the incident and recommend security measures for future political rallies.
