Dehradun, September 29 (IANS) Uttarakhand Northern Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Monday reached the students and youth protesting at the Parade Ground of the city and assured them of a detailed investigation in the alleged paper leakage, including the Selection Commission (UKSSSSSSSSS) of Uttarakhand Subordinate Services (UKSSS), including CBI probe.
The UKSSSC test was conducted on 21 September to fill the graduate level posts in various departments. However, the alleged paper leak staged a huge protest against the youth, who demanded the cancellation of the examinations and also a CBI inquiry into the alleged laps.
Talking to the agitating youth, Uttarakhand CM gave a patient a hearing of his concerns and reiterated his government’s ‘zero tolerance’ towards any irregularity in any competitive/recruitment examinations.
CM Dhami told him that the state government had only one resolution and this examination process was to be completely transparent.
“In the last four years, the government has continuously worked with this resolution,” he said.
Furthermore, making an emotional appeal, CM Dhami said that he understands that students struggle for government jobs and they also saw similar situations during their college life.
CM Dhami further told the agitating youth, “The recently revealed case is under investigation by an SIT under the supervision of a retired High Court judge. The committee has started its work, but since the youth are still demanding a CBI inquiry, the government will recommend a CBI inquiry into the matter.”
“There will be no obstacle in this,” he assured.
The Chief Minister further told the youth that he chose to express solidarity with the students and go to the protest site to first understand their difficulties.
He said that the government has recruited more than 25,000 in a transparent manner and only in this one case, one issue broke.
“Our government is fully committed to removing every doubt and doubt from the minds of the youth,” he said.
He also announced that if a case has been registered against the youth during the movement, those cases would be withdrawn.
He further said that in ‘Amrit Kaal’, Uttarakhand should become the best state in the country and in achieving it, the role of youth will be the most important.
