A simple Friday mail delivery began when an American postal service worker was shot on the face during a confrontation with a delivery driver in an apartment complex Washington State.
Police responded to West Mall Place Apartments in the city around 12:50 pm after a shooting report. Local news outlet Como told.
When they arrived, they found that the mail carrier was seriously injured. According to Postal Inspector John Wiegand, an unknown worker was mailing when an argument with another delivery driver broke.
“A small change occurred where the carrier was unfortunately shot on the face,” Vigand said.
The injured mail carrier was rushed to the Harberview Medical Center for treatment and was in critical condition. Police said the suspect was taken into custody. He was expected to be booked in Snohomish County Jail on Friday night.

Como reported that the postal truck and an Amazon delivery van were landed from the spot that afternoon.
Officials have not publicly confirmed whether the shooter was an Amazon delivery person, but, according to Como, the witnesses told the investigators that the man allegedly went to the apartment office and told that he had shot a post worker.
