United States President Donald Trump said he has “great respect” for Prime Minister Narendra Modi and that a trade deal is going to be struck between the US and India.
Addressing the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in South Korea on Wednesday, October 29, Trump said, “We are going to make a trade deal with India.”
He said, “I have a lot of respect and love for Prime Minister Modi.”
The US President also called PM Modi a ‘tough man’ and a ‘killer’.
Speaking at the APEC CEOs meeting, Trump said, “Prime Minister Modi is the best-looking man… It seems like you wish you had a father like him. But he’s a killer. He’s very tough.”
“They said, ‘No, we’ll fight.’ I said, ‘Wow, this is the guy I know?’ Trump commented.
