The US State Department on Monday announced sanctions against three Iranian individuals and an Iranian unit in Iran, which is associated with Iran’s Defense Innovation and Research (SPND), the successor of the country’s 2004 pre -nuclear weapons program, known as the AMAD project.
Approved parties were accused of contributing to the spread of weapons of massive destruction.
State Secretary Marco Rubio said in a statement, “Today, the State Department is approved with three Iranian citizens and an Iranian unit with relations with the protective innovation and research organization of Iran, which includes its Persian familiar, direct successor for SPND-features, as a direct successor organization, which includes all as individuals. Contributed to the spread of weapons.”
The statement highlighted the situation in Iran as a non-atomic-skill nation, which enriches uranium with 60 percent purity, while the country also accused the country of using front companies and purchase agents to get double-used items from international suppliers.
“Iran continues to expand its nuclear program and meets dual use research and development activities applied to nuclear weapons and distribution systems of nuclear weapons. Iran is the only country in the world without nuclear weapons that is enriching uranium up to 60 percent and continues to use its efforts and purchase agents to achieve its efforts.
It said, “The purpose of the work of the United States is to delay and degrade the ability of SPND to conduct nuclear weapons research and development. Today’s action reflects the United States’ commitment to ensure that Iran never receives nuclear weapons.”
The decision follows the fourth round conclusion of indirect nuclear dialogue in Muscat, Oman between Iran and the United States.
In a post on X on Sunday, Bagi wrote, “The fourth round of indirect Iran-US talks has been concluded; difficult and useful talks to find appropriate and realistic ways to better understand each other’s positions and address differences. The next round will be declared and declared by Oman.”
According to Al Jazeera, a historic 2015 Iran nuclear deal, from which US President Donald Trump withdrew during his first term, allowed Iran to pursue its civil nuclear activity, but banned uranium enrichment to prevent Tehran from making atomic bombs from making atomic bombs. (AI)
