Lucknow, October 12 (IANS) The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) Provincial Civil Services (PCS) preliminary examination is going on amid tight security arrangements across the state.
To ensure transparency and fairness, Center Administrator, Assistant Administrator, Static Magistrate and Sector Magistrate have been deployed at all the venues.
The examination was being conducted under CCTV surveillance, with the administration keeping a strict vigil during the entire process.
PCS exam is being conducted in two shifts.
The first session started at 9.30 am and will continue till 11.30 am, while the second shift is scheduled from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm
Center administrators as well as two assistant administrators, a sector magistrate and a static magistrate were deployed at each venue to monitor the conduct of the examination and maintain its sanctity.
A total of 22,752 candidates are appearing for the exam in Varanasi, which is being conducted at 49 centres. Ghaziabad has been allotted 21 centers for this purpose. Additionally, 4,536 candidates are appearing for the exam at 10 centers in Hardoi, while 15 centers are scheduled for the exam in Amethi. Similarly, centers have been set up in other districts also.
Ahead of the exam, many candidates expressed optimism and confidence.
Speaking to IANS, an aspirant said, “Feeling really good and energetic this morning, full of confidence. Preparation is complete, and I am excited to receive the question paper.”
Another candidate appearing for the second time said, “I hope I will crack the exam this time. Current affairs is very important, and if you cover it well, things become a little easier for you.”
Another candidate said, “I have prepared for a long time. This time, I hope I will be successful in it. I have prepared well.”
Another candidate, who is attempting for the third time, said, “I have given this exam before. This is my third attempt. I am a little nervous, but I am sure I will clear the exam this time.”
