Dolly’s father, the main accused in the case, is being searched, police said (Representational)
Mathura (UP):
Police on Thursday arrested a woman and her mother in connection with the recovery of a dead body from a burnt car in Farah area of the district.
Senior Superintendent of Police Shailesh Kumar Pandey said that last Monday, a burnt car was found in a deserted place and a completely burnt body was inside it.
Investigation revealed that the burnt person was Pushpendra Yadav, originally from Hathras, who lived in Agra and ran a transport business.
The official said that as part of the investigation, the police on Thursday arrested Pushpendra’s 20-year-old girlfriend Dolly and her mother Bhuri Devi, residents of Sikandra area of Agra.
Dolly’s father Awadhesh Yadav, the main accused in the case, is being searched.
SSP told that Awadhesh Yadav and his wife Bhuri Devi had asked Dolly to call Pushpendra to their house. They allegedly murdered her in the house with the help of some other relatives and burnt the body after keeping it in a car.
He told that Awadhesh and his family were angry with Pushpendra because he had an affair with Dolly and had even eloped with her once.
The SSP said that when Awadhesh tried to get his daughter married, Pushpendra told his future in-laws about his relationship with Dolly and almost ended the relationship.
The officer said Awadhesh was a member of the Mathura-based Bhura gang, known for heinous crimes like kidnapping, extortion and murder.
Police are searching for Awadhesh, his elder brother Rajesh and some other relatives who helped him in the murder.
