New Delhi, 17 September (IANS) Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda inaugurated ‘Namo Van’ on Wednesday and planted saplings in Rohtak city on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday.
Haryana CM Naib Singh Saini and BJP state president Mohan Lal Badauli confirmed his support for the tree plantation campaign with him.
Both, Union Minister JP Nadda and Haryana CM Naib Singh Saini promised to protect the environment by planting about 10,000 saplings through ‘Namo Van’ with active participation of Rohtak residents.
The tree plantation drive also saw major participation of women, youth, children and senior citizens.
Nadda underlined the commitment of the Modi government for the creation of a green and Vikasat India and said that it is our collective responsibility to contribute to making this vision reality.
He also encouraged women to participate in environmental protection, similarly they work hard by working hard for their domestic responsibilities, and also become patrons of the environment by planting more saplings.
She also launched the ‘Swasth Nari, Sashkat Parivar’ campaign at the Rohtaka event, reiterating the government’s resolve to strengthen healthcare and nutritional services for women, adolescent girls and children.
Several initiatives, such as women’s health check-up camps, the fourth phase of the ‘Prime Minister’s security Matratra Abhiyan’ and a special vaccination drive were rolled. A symbolic ‘Nutrition Month’ was also launched, where the Union Minister symbolically fed a child with nutritious food.
The purpose of ‘8th Potion Month’ is to spread awareness about the importance of nutrition for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, teenage girls and children under six years of age.
In addition, senior citizens above 70 years of age were provided Wandana cards under the Ayushman-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana to senior citizens.
On this occasion, Ayushman cards were also distributed to the beneficiaries of this scheme. Avoid cancer, who conquered the disease, was honored as ‘Cancer Champion’.
Nadda and Haryana CM also pledged the gathering, which encouraged people to commit to organ donation.
