UN: Israeli military advance in Rafah could lead to 'massacre'

More than 28,000 people have been killed in Gaza since the war against Hamas began.

United Nations:

U.N. humanitarian chief Martin Griffiths warned on Tuesday that Israel’s planned military offensive on the southern Gaza city of Rafah, the last bastion of refuge for more than a million Palestinians, “could lead to massacres.”

“The international community has been warning of the dangerous consequences of any ground invasion of Rafah. The Israeli government cannot continue to ignore these calls,” Griffiths said in a statement. “Military action in Rafah could lead to massacres in Gaza.”
