Ukraine said on Tuesday it destroyed 12 Russian drones targeting various regions of Ukraine, while Russia said it thwarted Ukrainian air strikes in the Belgorod region along the border between the two countries.
The Ukrainian air force said its air defense system shot down a drone over the Nikolayev and Kharkiv regions.
Kharkiv region governor Oleh Syniehubov reported on Telegram that a building was damaged but there were no casualties.
Vitaliy Kim, the governor of Nikolayev Province, said on Telegram that three drones were destroyed over his region. He reported no damage or casualties.
The Russian Defense Ministry said on Tuesday that its air defense systems shot down 15 Ukrainian missiles in several waves of attacks during the night.
The missiles targeted the Belgorod region, where the governor, Vyacheslav Gladkov, said on Telegram that 20 houses were damaged and many people were injured.
