Ukraine foreign minister to start two-day visit to India from Thursday: Center

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba is scheduled to arrive in New Delhi on Thursday for a two-day official visit, during which he will meet with his Indian counterpart and others to discuss matters related to bilateral relations.

His visit was at the invitation of External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said in a statement.

The statement said that Kuleba will conduct “a series of activities during his visit, including formal meetings with the Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Deputy Director of the National Security Agency to discuss matters related to bilateral partnerships and cooperation on regional and global issues of mutual interest.”

He is also expected to interact with the business community.

Dmytro Kuleba’s visit coincided with the Russian-Ukrainian war.

On March 20, Indian Prime Minister Modi held talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Zelensky respectively, and said that dialogue and diplomacy are the way to resolve the Russia-Ukraine conflict.

Prime Minister Modi had spoken to Putin on the phone to congratulate him on his fifth re-election in the recent elections, and later called Zelensky to convey India’s “consistent support” for all peace efforts to achieve peace and stability in India. End ongoing conflicts as early as possible.
