London (AP) – British actor Mitchell Ward has been accused of rape and sexual harassment, police said on Friday.
The Metropolitan Police Force said the 27 -year -old faced two rape cases and three cases of sexual harassment. The allegations belong to a woman and the crimes were reportedly held in January 2023.
The Crown Prosecution Service stated that it authorized the allegations “carefully reviewing a file of evidence.”
Ward is scheduled to appear in the Themes Magistrate Court of London on 28 August.
The ward has appeared in films including “Blue Story,” “The Book of Clarence” and the recently released American political satire “Edgington”.
In 2020, he won the Rising Star Award in the British Academy Film Awards, or Bftas. He was nominated for BAFTA, an acting for Sam Mendes’ “Empire of Light” and for a BAFTA television award for Steve Mcquin-directed series “Small X”.
