London:
Britain called for “urgent investigation and accountability” on Friday after more than 100 Palestinians died during an aid delivery in Gaza.
Foreign Secretary David Cameron said: “The deaths of people waiting for an aid convoy in Gaza yesterday were shocking.”
“There must be an urgent investigation and accountability. This must never happen again,” he said.
He said the incident was inseparable from the “insufficient aid supplies” and called the current situation “simply unacceptable.”
“Israel has an obligation to ensure more humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza,” he added, calling on Israel to open more crossings and remove bureaucratic obstacles.
“This tragedy only highlights the importance of ensuring an immediate humanitarian pause,” Cameron said.
