Abu Dhabi:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and UAE President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a bilateral meeting in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday and exchanged several memorandums of understanding.
“Brother, first of all I would like to express my heartfelt thanks for your warm reception. We have met five times in these seven months, which is very rare. I have also had the opportunity to come here seven times… The progress we have made in various fields shows that, India and the UAE have a mutual partnership in various fields,” Prime Minister Modi said while meeting the UAE President.
The Indian delegation present at the meeting included External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and External Affairs Minister Vinay Kwatra.
Earlier, Prime Minister Modi was welcomed by UAE President Nahyan on his arrival at the airport. The two leaders shook hands and hugged.

Speaking to

The visit is also the prime minister’s third to the Gulf country in the past eight months, according to a statement from the foreign minister.
In addition to meeting with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Prime Minister Modi will also attend the 2024 World Government Summit and deliver a special keynote speech.
“My discussions with His Highness Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid during the summit will focus on strengthening our multifaceted relationship with Dubai,” the prime minister said in a statement before leaving.
He will also inaugurate the first Hindu temple in Abu Dhabi. “The BAPS temple will be a lasting tribute to the values of harmony, peace and tolerance shared by India and the UAE,” the Prime Minister said.
The Prime Minister will address the Indian community in Abu Dhabi at the Zayed Sports City Stadium later on Tuesday.
The ‘Ahlan Modi’ or ‘Hello Modi’ event, organized by the Indian Community in Abu Dhabi, received unprecedented attention and received over 65,000 registrations, reflecting the overwhelming response from the Indian expatriate community.
Prime Minister Modi will visit the UAE on February 13 and 14 and then proceed to Doha.
