former world heavyweight champion Tyson Fury believe Derek Chisora will defeat Deontay Wilder If the two boxers meet this year, there will be a “pause.”
Report says Chisora and Wilder close to finalizing deal to fight this year Boxing reporter Dan Rafael claims On X, the two fighters are “finalizing a fight to take place in London in April.”
Fury, who himself has fought both men three times, took to social media to express his thoughts on the potential fight, calling it “a great fight.”
“So, I just saw [Derek] Chisora and Deontay Wilder are going to have a fight. I’ve fought these two guys three times and I actually thought it was a pretty good fight.
“But in this one I’m going to take the timeout with my son Delboy, War Chisora,” he added, before shouting “it’s home” to encourage the 42-year-old.
Fury continued: “And there should be a belt, so one of you sanctioning bodies, you have two legendary boxers here. A ten-time reigning world champion from the United States and an absolute warlord from the UK who fought everybody, never hid from anybody and would have been a great heavyweight boxer in any era – Derek Chisora.”

Wilder was expected to face unified world heavyweight champion Alexander Usyk Next up, the Ukrainian will volunteer to defend his title, although it now appears Wilder will face Chisora first.
The fight could prove to be Chisora’s retirement fight, with the Englishman widely expected to hang up the gloves if he can get a 50th fight against a big name like Wilder.
The Brit recently posted a video of himself appearing to sign a contract, with the number “50” appended to the post.

Despite being 42 years old, Chisora is currently on a three-fight win streak, defeating Gerard Washington, Joe Joyce and Otto Wallin since August 2023, while Wilder, 40, has lost two of his four fights to Joseph Parker and Zhang Zhilei since losing to Fury in 2020 and 2021.
While “The Bronze Bomber” still has hope against Usyk, if he loses to Chisora this year, his last chance at becoming a world champion could be dashed.
