Jaipur:
Two persons suspected of drug smuggling were arrested from Hanumangarh district and more than 40 kilograms of opium were recovered from their possession, police said on Monday.
The value of the drugs seized by Sangalia police is estimated at Rs 235 crore, they said.
During patrolling, police officer Dharampal Singh intercepted a vehicle on the Chautala-Hanumangarh road and recovered 40.3 kg of opium.
Police said that after the drugs were recovered, Punjab residents Ranveer Bishnoi (46) and Mithilesh Pandey (38) were arrested from the car.
A case under the NDPS Act has been registered at Sangalia police station and further investigation is on, they said.
