An official said on Monday that Srinagar, August 11: Two police officers died in an accident on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.
The official said that after the demonstration of the Amarnath Yatra, the three sub-scholars traveling from Srinagar to Jammu met with an accident in Tengan in the Lasan area of the city.
The injured police officers were rushed to a hospital, where two of them were declared dead.
The deceased has been identified as Sachin Verma and Shubam, while the injured officer has been identified as Mastan Singh, he said.
