Two more people have been arrested after the former lostprophets frontman ian watkins Died in an alleged prison attack earlier this month.
Two prisoners of HMP wakefieldThe men, aged 23 and 39, have been arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to murder and will be questioned on Tuesday. West Yorkshire PoliceThey will then get bail and will be sent back to jail while the interrogation continues.
Emergency services were called to the prison on the morning of Saturday 11 October following reports watkins Was attacked with a knife. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two other prisoners, Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43, were charged with his murder last week and appeared at Leeds Magistrates Court and then at Leeds Crown Court.
Dodsworth appeared via video link from HMP Wakefield but Gaedel, known as Rico Gaedel in court, refused to appear remotely as he wanted to appear in person. The couple were not asked to record pleas.
Judge Guy Pearl, the Recorder of Leeds, set a provisional date of 5 May for the trial, which is expected to take two to three weeks.
Watkins was jailed for 29 years in 2013 and served an additional six years on license after admitting a number of sexual offences, including attempting to rape a fan’s child.
He was arrested following the execution of a drugs warrant at his Pontypridd home in September 2012, when a large number of computers, mobile phones and storage devices were seized.
Analysis of the device revealed Watkins’ corrupt behavior.

He was told he could not appeal against the prison term he was sentenced in 2014 due to the “shocking depravity” of his crimes.
Watkins was taken hostage by three other inmates in 2023 and was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

He said that his death might now allow “a new part of his life” to begin.
Watkins has now become one of the most high-profile inmates to be killed inside the prison.
