Two marijuana cases worth Rs 2 crore held in Chhattisgarh’s Kabardham district

Two men were arrested from Chhattisgarh’s Kabardham district with more than a ton of cannabis worth around Rs 2 crore, an official said on Friday.

The drug was being transported from Odisha to Uttar Pradesh. Acting on a tip-off, law enforcement officials on Thursday intercepted a truck laden with turdal husks on National Highway 30 within the jurisdiction of Chilpie police station.

He said that after a search, 1,032 kg of cannabis worth Rs 206 crore was found in 41 gunny bags hidden in the consignment.

He said two men from Rajasthan, Anil Choudhary (29) and Atendra Jaat (45), were bringing contraband from Odisha transported to Agra in Uttar Pradesh, adding that a case has been registered against them under narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. NDPS) Act.
