Two hybrids caught terrorists in shopkeeper

Police said on Thursday that two hybrid militants associated with Lashkar-e-Taiba (late) were arrested during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO), which was launched in coordination with 44 RR and 178 BN CRPF in Baskuchan area of ​​shopkeepers district of South Kashmir.

He said that the region was closed and the movement of terrorists was seen in a nearby garden. Swift and coordinated action by the joint teams surrendered successful and eventually arrested two terrorists- Irfan Bashir and Uzare Salaam.

Officials said weapons and ammunition were recovered from their possession including two AK -56 rifles, four magazines, 102 rounds 7.62 × 39 mm, two hand grenades, two pouches, ₹ 5400 in cash, a mobile phone, a smartwatch, two biscuits, two biscuits, and one exchange cards.

An FIR has been lodged under the relevant sections and further investigation is going on. (GNS)
