Two gunmen arrested for shooting at Salman Khan’s Mumbai home

Mumbai police have arrested two gunmen who allegedly opened fire on actor Salman Khan at his home in the city on Sunday.

Vicky Sahab Gupta and Sagar Shrijogendra Pal, both from Bihar, were arrested from Bhuj, Gujarat last night.

Around 5 am on Sunday, two men on a motorcycle fired four shots outside Galaxy Apartments in Bandra, where the actor lives, before fleeing.

CCTV footage showed both defendants wearing hats and carrying backpacks. Additionally, the clip shows them shooting into the actor’s home.

According to police sources, both men were members of the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang. Bishnoi is currently lodged in Tihar jail for his role in several high-profile murders, including that of musician Sidhu Moose Wala and Rajput leaders as well as Khashoggi Murder case of Karni Sena chief Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.

After the shooting outside Mr Khan’s residence, Lawrence Bishnoi’s brother Anmol Bishnoi claimed responsibility in an online post, calling it a “rehearsal” and sending a message to the Bollywood actor warn.

Officials said the motorcycle, which was abandoned near Mount Mary Church, a little over a kilometer from the actor’s home, was registered in the name of a man living in Panvel area of ​​Navi Mumbai.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Panvel Ashok Rajput said the man had recently sold the two-wheeler.

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has reached out to the actor, assuring his unwavering support and promising to uphold the rule of law.

Following the incident, the police added more personnel to Salman Khan’s security team. The actor has also been asked to inform Mumbai Police before moving out of his home. He was advised to stay home unless something important happened.
