As part of his ongoing drive against drug trafficking, the police achieved a great success by capturing two drug pedals and seizing a significant amount of narcotics with cash in Anantnag district of South Kashmir.
A police spokesperson said, “Acting on specific input, a police station’s police party Bijbehar kept a barrier in Jirpara. During the investigation, a Hyundai buyer (registration number JK02CX-6665) was stopped. “The identity of two persons was worn as the son of Sabzar Ahmed Das, Mohammad Yusuf Das and Adnan Nazir Das, Nazir Ahmed Das, both the residents of Vaghama Bijbehar were arrested on the spot. The vehicle used in the crime’s commission was also confiscated”, he said.
Accordingly, a case under FIR No. 102/2025 has been registered at Police Station Bijbehara, which is underway further investigation under the relevant sections of the law and investigation is underway to highlight the broad nexus and linkage involved in the case.
