In the continuity of its untiring efforts to eradicate the danger of drug from the society, the police arrested two drug pedals in Srinagar and Avantpora and recovered the controlband/ psychotropic substances from their possession.
A spokesperson said that the police team of police station Novata at a checkpoint installed in Syed Saheb Rajori-Kadal arrested a drug pedler identified as Suhail Ahmed Shikhe, son of GH Rasool Shikhe, resident of Qutubuddin Porl Allikadal. During the search, sufficient amount of Contraband drugs (spasmoproxivon and tapantadol) were recovered from their possession.
Meanwhile, during the Naka checking, a police party arrested a drug pedler, identified as Adil Ahmed Bhat, son of Farooq Ahmed Bhat, a resident of Latrich Pampore during Naka checking. During the search, the authorities were able to fix a substance such as 5 grams of brown sugar from their possession.
Accordingly, cases under the relevant sections of the law have been registered at the concerned police stations and investigation has been initiated.
