Continuing its efforts to eradicate the danger of drugs from the society, the Jammu and Kashmir Police arrested two drug pedals in Avantpora and Baramullah and recovered the control material from their possession.
In Avantpora, a police team of the Police Station Troll stopped a suspected man identified as the son of AB Rahman Dar of Naznepora at a checkpoint installed in Razak Shah Crossing led by Shoo Police Station Tall. During the search, 2.5 kg of poppy seeds were recovered from his possession. He was later arrested and a case video number 107/2025 has been registered under the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Tral and investigation has been initiated.
In Baramulla, a motorcycle (Honda SP -125) in a checkpoint installed in Ring Road NHW Mirgand, headed by police post Miragand, under the chairmanship of police post Miragand, registered a registration number JK01AS -5486 as Umer Ayub Danapoff’s son. On searching, a substance like 85 grams of contraband charas was recovered from its possession in the form of 05 sticks covered in maize corn husk. The accused has been arrested and the motorcycle used in the commission of crime has been confiscated. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 170/2025 has been registered at police station pattern under Section 8/20 of the NDPS Act, and further investigation has been initiated.
